BENEFITS OF XCH: OTHER TRADITIONAL SADDLES:
A SOFT and CONSISTENT panel making your horse more COMFORTABLE. Traditional wool flocked panels can often be lumpy and can cause uneven pressure on the horses back.
A more RELAXED horse willing to move forward and move freely. A lumpy wool panel can cause soreness which may cause a horse to resist and be unwilling to go forward.
The combination of wool flocking and foam is ADJUSTABLE to suit your horse’s UNIQUE shape. A combination of these two materials is not found in many traditional saddles an alternative to wool flocking would be a moulded panel that isn’t adjustable.
SHOCK ABSORBING properties from the speciality foam layer distributes pressure EVENLY across the horses back. Wool flocking alone can vary so much it actually creates pressure points making a horses back sore in certain areas.
Maximum CONTACT across your horses back giving a wide weight bearing surface for maximum weight DISTRIBUTION. A badly flocked panel may not contact the horse in certain areas causing sore spots where weight is carried unevenly.

AMS is exclusive to all GFS saddles and selected models of Pessoa, and Anky saddles. AMS has been designed using leading saddle construction technology to produce a panel of the highest standard. This panel is composed of two different materials, conventional wool and a layer of neoprene.
The neoprene provides a very soft and consistent contacting layer with the horse. This layer actually moulds to the horses back shape. The wool flocked layer provides a soft breathable padding between horse and rider for added comfort and adjustability. It distributes the weight and pressure created from the rider evenly through the neoprene and across the horses back allowing the horse to move freely. A soft and consistent panel will allow a horse to be more comfortable and therefore more relaxed and able to move freely.

The unevenness in the weight bearing surface is clearly shown by the red and yellow pressurised areas on the horses back. Short –term these pressure points can cause a variety of problems including tense muscles, uneven or shortened gates and not being submissive.

2. THE XCH AMS PANEL

These two diagrams show how beneficial the AMS panel is when compared to a traditionally flocked panel. Wool flocking is of benefit in a panel due to its softness and adjustability but this brings negatives with it. A completely wool flocked panel is only ever as good as the saddler who flocked it and this will vary considerably. At worst a saddle could be unevenly flocked and cause pressure points as shown in the diagram above. The AMS panel eliminates this problem. You can ensure you will have an evenly flocked smooth panel with no lumps or bumps. Your horse will be comfortable and able to move freely.
